Mixed-use project to feature 596-unit self-storage facility, 90 luxury apartments and 4,400 SF retail space

NORTH HALEDON, N.J., June 02, 2026 – Tulfra Real Estate and The Hampshire Companies recently celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for High Mountain Promenade, a major mixed-use development planned for 987 Belmont Avenue in North Haledon, New Jersey.

The project will combine residential, retail, and self-storage components into a modern mixed-use destination designed to better serve the surrounding community and neighboring Bergen and Passaic County markets.

The event drew a strong turnout of local officials, business leaders, project partners, and members of the real estate community. Among those in attendance were North Haledon Mayor Randy George, Sonny Jumani, President and CEO of Tulfra Real Estate, and Jon F. Hanson, Chairman of The Hampshire Companies, who joined others in celebrating the start of construction on the highly anticipated mixed-use development.

Located along Belmont Avenue near the Passaic and Bergen County border, High Mountain Promenade will include a 90-unit luxury apartment community, 4,400 SF retail space, and a three-story, 596-unit self-storage building.

The site is strategically positioned within a densely populated and affluent suburban market. Approximately 68,500 residents live within a one-mile radius of the property, increasing to 150,699 residents within three miles and 257,981 residents within five miles, including nearby communities such as Hawthorne, Wayne, Franklin Lakes, Ridgewood, Midland Park, Wyckoff, and Prospect Park.
