This obsolete, former AT&T data center had remained unoccupied for over two years. Tulfra saw value because of the property’s close proximity to the Garden State Plaza, a high-traffic shopping center within the tri-state area. Their plan called for the development of a 100,000 sq.ft. self-storage facility, 8,000 sq.ft. of retail/dining space, and 160 residential units. A redevelopment project that would also benefit the township by generating significant increased tax revenue and create jobs for the residents of Rochelle Park as well as the surrounding towns in Bergen County.
